How Much Does a Brand Video Cost in Singapore? (A Transparent Breakdown)

No vague "it depends." Just an honest look at what goes into pricing — and what you're actually paying for.

It's the question almost every client wants to ask but feels awkward bringing up in the first conversation: "How much is this going to cost?"

We get it. The discomfort around discussing pricing in the creative industry is largely unnecessary. Here’s our attempt at a genuinely transparent breakdown of what brand video production costs in Singapore. We’ll explore what drives the price up, what brings it down, and what you should be cautious of when comparing quotes.

Understanding the Pricing Landscape

Before diving into specific numbers, let's address why pricing varies so much in this industry.

A 60-second brand video can cost anywhere from SGD 800 to SGD 80,000 in Singapore. That's not a typo. The range is genuinely that wide. Both ends of that spectrum can be justified, depending on what's being produced.

The variables that determine cost include:

  • Number of shoot days

  • Crew size

  • Equipment requirements

  • Location fees

  • Talent and casting

  • Post-production complexity

  • Motion graphics

  • Music licensing

  • Number of deliverable formats

Change any one of these factors, and the budget shifts significantly.

What we can do is walk you through the most common project types we handle at NexGen Motion. This will give you a realistic sense of what each typically involves.

Social Media Content Reels

Typical range: SGD 300 — SGD 1,500 per video

Short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts sits at the more accessible end of the pricing spectrum. But don't mistake accessible for simple. A great 30-second reel still requires planning, proper lighting, skilled shooting, and a tight edit that holds attention from the first frame.

At this price point, you're typically looking at a half-day shoot, a small crew of one to two people, one or two locations, and a focused edit with colour grading and basic sound design. This is ideal for product showcases, service highlights, event recaps, or brand awareness content built for the scroll.

Where costs increase: If you need multiple videos shot in a single day (which we'd always recommend for efficiency), casting talent, or platform-specific variations in different aspect ratios.

Corporate & Interview Videos

Typical range: SGD 1,500 — SGD 5,000

Corporate videos—company profiles, CEO interviews, team culture films, testimonial videos—are among the most common briefs we receive. They typically involve single or half-day shoots with a straightforward structure: interview footage intercut with b-roll of the office, team, or product in action.

The cost variables here are primarily crew size, location complexity, and post-production. A clean single-camera interview in a well-lit office is at the lower end. A multi-location corporate film with multiple interview subjects, motion graphics, and a full soundtrack sits at the higher end.

One thing worth noting: the script and interview preparation matter enormously for this format. We invest real time in pre-production for corporate videos. A well-prepared subject on camera saves hours in the edit.

Product & F&B Videos

Typical range: SGD 1,800 — SGD 5,000

Product videos and food videography require a specific kind of attention to detail that makes them more involved than they might appear. Lighting for products—especially food—is painstaking work. The difference between a dish that looks appetising on screen and one that looks flat and unappetising often comes down to hours of careful lighting setup.

At this price point, you're looking at a full shoot day, specialist lighting equipment, a food stylist if needed, and a post-production workflow that includes detailed colour grading to ensure the product looks exactly as it should.

For F&B clients especially, we'd strongly recommend budgeting for this properly. Your food is your product. How it looks on camera directly affects how people perceive your restaurant or brand.

Brand Films & Commercial Productions

Typical range: SGD 3,000 — SGD 10,000+

This is where full creative production begins. A brand film is a cinematic piece—typically 60 seconds to three minutes—that tells a brand's story in a way designed to be watched, shared, and remembered. Think of it as the video equivalent of a premium print campaign.

At this level, the production process is significantly more involved. Pre-production alone can span one to two weeks—concept development, scripting, storyboarding, location scouting, casting, and logistics planning. The shoot itself may span multiple days across multiple locations with a full crew. Post-production includes professional colour grading, motion graphics, original or licensed music, and sound design.

The investment reflects the ambition of the output. A well-produced brand film is an asset that continues to work for your brand for years—on your website, at events, in pitches, and across paid media campaigns.

Event Coverage

Typical range: SGD 1,500 — SGD 4,500

Event videography pricing depends primarily on the length and scale of the event, the number of camera operators required, and the complexity of the edit. A half-day corporate dinner with a highlights reel is very different from a full-day conference with multiple sessions, a live stage, and same-day social media cuts.

One thing we always advise clients on for events: invest in proper audio capture. Event footage with poor audio is almost unusable. It's one of the most commonly overlooked line items in event production budgets.

What Affects the Final Quote

Beyond the project type, here are the factors that most commonly move a quote up or down:

  • Crew size: Every additional crew member adds to the day rate. For simple shoots, a lean two-person team works perfectly. For larger productions, a full crew is non-negotiable.

  • Shoot days: More time on set means more cost, but also more coverage and creative flexibility in the edit.

  • Location: Shooting in a controlled environment like a studio or office is simpler and cheaper than managing permits, travel, and logistics for outdoor or multi-location shoots.

  • Talent and casting: On-screen talent, voiceover artists, and actors all add to the budget. If your video requires professional talent rather than internal team members, factor this in early.

  • Post-production complexity: A clean talking-head edit is straightforward. Motion graphics, 3D elements, complex colour work, and music licensing all add time and cost at the post stage.

  • Usage rights: Where and how you plan to use the video affects pricing, particularly for music licensing and on-screen talent fees. Broadcast usage, for example, carries different licensing requirements than digital-only distribution.

What to Watch Out For When Comparing Quotes

Not all quotes are comparable. A significantly lower quote isn't always a better value. Here are a few things worth checking:

  • What's included in post-production? Some quotes include basic editing but charge separately for colour grading, sound design, or motion graphics. Make sure you're comparing like for like.

  • How many revision rounds are included? Unlimited revisions sound generous until you realise they often come with a catch in the fine print. Clarify upfront.

  • Who actually shoots your video? Some agencies outsource production to freelancers after winning the brief. There's nothing inherently wrong with this, but you deserve to know who will be on set.

  • Is there a contingency for overruns? Production rarely goes exactly to plan. Understanding how a studio handles unexpected shoot overruns or additional edit rounds protects both sides.

Our Honest Recommendation

Don't start with a budget and work backwards. Start with a clear objective. What do you want this video to achieve? For whom? Where will it live? Then, have an honest conversation with your production partner about what's realistically achievable.

At NexGen Motion, every quote we provide is broken down transparently. You'll know exactly what you're paying for, why it's priced the way it is, and what would change if you needed to adjust the scope. No surprises. No inflated line items.

If you have a project in mind and want a realistic sense of what it would cost, we're always happy to have that conversation—no commitment required.
